MYGROUNDUPSTARTUP Week 11 – “More Problems and Fewer Answers”

AGHHHHHHH. Sorry, I just had to scream. You won’t believe what’s happened. No, I’m serious, you won’t believe me. I’m going to tell you and you’re going to say “that seems made-up.” And I thought the number situation was bad with the stencils. Remember that little snafu? Remember how I tried to stencil my numbers on and it didn’t work… at all? Yeah, well, that’s nothing.

Today I went out to my garage to grab a clock that I had made to go paint it and try some new numbering stuff today and this is what I found. I didn’t even know what to say or do. How does this even happen?

Oh, but it gets worse. I popped my trunk to look at my other clocks and I was greeted by more clocks that had done this same thing. Some of them were even worse. Now you see why I screamed. Not only can I not put numbers on these things, but now I can’t even make the actual clock itself. What the actual heck am I going to do if I can’t even build the actual clock part of the clock!? That’s kind of important. Just a bit. This is so frustrating. I didn’t know what I was going to do before but now I really don’t know what I’m going to do.

What I can’t understand is how this happened. These clocks have literally just been sitting. How did they destroy themselves? I can’t even think of a single thing that I did that would cause this to happen. My clocks literally destroyed themselves and I have no idea why. What would cause them to come apart like this? Here’s a picture of the very same clock I took a while ago so that you can see a comparison.

I never would have guessed this would be so hard. I thought I had a good idea/product that would be cheap to produce and would have pretty decent returns. I also thought that it would be relatively easy to make and that the startup costs would be fairly small as well. Tomorrow I’m going to talk to my boss and see what he says about it. I can’t understand it. I need someone smarter than me to figure this out.

I didn’t even work on any clocks this weekend because I’m too scared to build anything, afraid that in a week or two it will destroy itself like these have. This has been a very stressful couple of weeks. I hope to figure this out and get back on track soon. I’m literally giving myself a headache right now trying to figure out what could have caused this.
